Aplix brand hook and loop fasteners are a favorite for making diapers.  Soft loops with a flexible, soft backing minimize irritation but still provide an exceptionally strong hold.  Measures 1.5" wide and is sold by the inch so you can get exactly what you need.  For the Celtic Cloths free pattern you will need 8" of loop for each diaper.
